Misha Kanwal

Great work comes from passion. This is what drives Misha – a highly motivated physiotherapist at KKT Orthopedic Spine Center Pakistan who loves to share her passion for healthy living with her clients.

Misha completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation from the University of Karachi, Pakistan and went on to pursue her M.Sc. physiotherapy from the same university. Misha’s two years of M.Sc physiotherapy in musculoskeletal rehabilitation allows her to incorporate an in-depth knowledge of treating injuries and conditions affecting muscles, joints, and soft tissues into her practice.

It is rightly said that health is a state of body and wellness is a state of being. Misha believes that with positivity a lot can be achieved. She believes that a sensitive approach can help the patients recover more quickly. That together with an understanding of complex clinical issues makes it possible for her to provide quality physiotherapy assessment and treatment. Misha uses a variety of approaches and tailors them according to the individual needs of her patients.

An exceptionally skilled physiotherapist, Misha is keen to take training that help in self-development. She values the importance of updating herself with emerging techniques and technologies available for physiotherapy. To build her knowledge she undertook certificate courses on “Modern Concept of Physical Therapy,” “Neurological assessment & treatment in physical therapy” and on “Basic life supporting program” from Liaquat National Hospital, Karachi Pakistan.

She brings a wealth of experience to KKT. Her extensive work experience includes physical therapy clinical rotation at Liaquat National Hospital Karachi. Here she assisted patients with joint and spinal problems, especially after surgeries.

After that Misha went on to attend a Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation elective program from The Agha Khan University Hospital, Karachi and then she continued with her work as a Physiotherapist at Al-Umeed Rehabilitation Association Karachi. There she honed her physiotherapy skills and developed rehabilitation programs where she used exercises such as strengthening, stretching, hydrotherapy, breathing and other therapeutic workouts. She gained experience by applying “Bobath Therapy” on cerebral palsy patients as well. She is currently an active member of the Pakistan Physiotherapy Society (PPS).

Misha is deeply committed to delivering quality care at KKT where she works with people from all age brackets, devising treatment plans for them that can help improve their quality of life. A believer of preventive care and physical fitness, she helps patients at KKT bring balance, wellness, and success in their lives.
